I am a Research Associate in Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany, Lucknow (U.P.). Dealing with Organic Petrology and Hydrocarbon Source Rock Evaluation. I am also
pursuing PhD on "Palynology and Stratigraphy of the Siwalik and
Pre-Siwalik Tertiaries of Yamunanagar and Sirmaur Districts, Northwestern Himalaya, India." This involves Hydrocarbon Source
Rock Evaluation based on Particulate Organic Matter (POM) in sediments along with spores
and pollen study.
My PhD supervisors are Prof. N.N.Dogra from Department of Geology, Kurukshetra and Dr. Samir Sarkar
from Birbal Sahni Institute of Palaeobotany, Lucknow.
I have passed my MSc (Applied Geology) from Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra (Haryana).
I am basically from Kullu valley, a well-known hill station of Himachal Pradesh. The Kullu valley has also been the valley of Gods in India. The temples,
apple orchards and the Dussehra festivals are what have attracted thousands of tourists time and again to Kullu.
